Nitin Ram Shende Honoured With Teaching Excellence Awards 2018

An award is something given to a person in recognition of his excellence in a certain field. Teaching Excellence Awards 2018 (TEA - 2018) was an effort of MT Research and Educational Services (MTRES) in association with Buzzingg and Indian Achievers Story to recognize the best teachers (Nation Builders) for their special contribution in respective domain. Meet one of the awardees, Nitin Ram Shende, who has been honoured with TEA-2018 as Promising Teacher.

Accomplished chef and professor, Mr. Nitin Shende created a new pathway for thousands of students interested in the field of hospitality. Mr. Shende helped several under privileged students to build a career by conducting skill development programs. Mr. Shende has been named in the Limca Book of Records in 2001 for the biggest pizza in India.

Mr. Nitin Shende began his career as cook in Abela & Co LLC, Dubai in 1999. In 2000, he was appointed as a lecturer in the Tripude College of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Nagpur. Mr. Shende was appointed as the Assistant Resident Commissioner in the Maharashtra Sadhan, New Delhi in 2014 and the Principal in Charge in the Government Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Nagpur between 2013 and 2014. He was appointed as a senior lecturer in Government Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Nagpur in 2015, and has been working here ever since.

Mr. Shende also presented / published papers in various national and international conferences and journals. So far, he has presented / published 3 papers to national conferences, 1 paper in international conferences, 3 papers in national journals and 1 paper in an international journal.

Mr. Shende was awarded the Bharat Gaurav Award in 2017. He is also the Chairman for Diploma Hotel Management & Catering Technology Course Committee for AICTE Curriculum Development and a member of the NBA for Designer of SAR for hospitality courses and the IFCA Head for Educational Wing of the Indian Federation of Culinary Accusation.
