Vikram Ashok Kolhe Honoured With Teaching Excellence Awards 2018

An award is something given to a person in recognition of his excellence in a certain field. Teaching Excellence Awards 2018 (TEA - 2018) was an effort of MT Research and Educational Services (MTRES) in association with Buzzingg and Indian Achievers Story to recognize the best teachers (Nation Builders) for their special contribution in respective domain. Meet one of the awardees, Vikram Ashok Kolhe, who has been honoured with TEA-2018 as Promising Teacher.

Vikram Ashok Kolhe, an Associate Professor at Sandip Foundation’s SIEM & SITRC, Nashik is a Mechanical Engineer and is a great and renowned personality in the field of engineering education. Born and brought up in Maharashtra, Mr. V.A. Kolhe shows great interest in subjects like Machine Design, Theory of Machines, Fluid Dynamics, Composite Materials, etc. Continuing his career in the teaching line he has already gained an experience of 20 years. Hard work is the key to success; a statement admired by many but approved only by someone. But Mr. Kolhe is a true inspirer who has completed and made this statement possible in all manners.

Having an experience of 20 years he has served his duties in many institutions. He began his career by working as a Lecturer in Sir Visvesvaraya Memorial Engineering College, Chincholi, Nashik and served for 8.5 years. Next he worked at Nashik District Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj’s Karmaveer Adv. Baburao Ganpatrao Thakare College of Engineering, Nashik as an Assistant Professor for 2.5 years. Next for a span of 1 year he worked as an Assistant Professor again at Sir Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology, Chincholi, Nashik. Currently he is working as an Associate Professor at Sandip Foundation’s SITRC, Nashik since last 8 years.

Inclusive of all this hard work, he has published and presented 18 papers in various national and international journals and conferences. He has attended 15 workshops, 13 conferences and 6 STTPs, Mission 10X workshop,  etc. He has fetched a grant of Rs. 1,30,000/- from Savitribai Phule Pune University for a research project named “Parametric study & performance evaluation of coriolis mass flow meter for various tube configurations”.

He was coordinator of Sandipotsav: 2016, annual social gathering and 02 weeks Faculty Development Program for Engineering Teachers. He has worked as a Custodian, Senior Supervisor and Assistant Senior Supervisor at University level Examinations. He has helped in coordination of inauguration and session management committee for international conference in 2013 and 2018 at Sandip Institute of Technology & Research Centre. He was the coordinator of Application Receipt Centre (ARC) at NDMVPS COE for the first year Engineering /Pharmacy admission.

Teaching being both a job and a passion for him. He has conducted expert talks on the subjects like Study & Preparation of Theory of Machines and Personality Development. Adding to these endless achievements what we can call as his most priced possession, Padmashri Dr. Vittalrao Vikhe Patil Scholarship in F.E., S.E. and T.E. for scoring distinction in university examinations.

Planning on involving himself with research activities, he is undoubtedly an inspiration for us all. We wish him best of luck for his future admirations and also thank him for his contributions in the development of the society.
